Brian Bratton was mentioned as part of King’s greatest success story.
Here’s what Brian had to say about his success:
How has your teamwork and partnership with Steve Ratchford taught and helped you become successful in commercial real estate?
When people ask me about my success at King and what the most important parts were to that success, I always answer with: “cold calling, persistence and Steve Ratchford.” Cold calling and persistence are probably the two most important aspects when starting out in this business, but even more important is the guidance of a great mentor who can teach you how to turn those cold call leads into real deals. Steve Ratchford was that mentor to me. Steve noticed early on that I was doing all the right things in working towards becoming a successful industrial agent and with the right guidance, we could turn that hustle and drive into deals. Steve took me under his wing and began to teach me the ins and outs of the business and how to build long term relationships with clients that would last the span of my career. I always say that I gained years’ worth of knowledge in such a short time by learning from Steve and working with him day in and day out. Over the years, Steve and I have been incredibly successful and developed what I believe I can arguably say is one of the best and most successful partnerships in the business to date. Steve and I continue to work together daily to dig up new deals and service all of our existing clients. Today, we have completed over $300,000,000 in deal volume and continue to grind day in and day out. Our partnership has proven to be one of the best in the business and will continue to be for many years to come.
What advice do you have for younger agents starting out, just as you had done five years prior?
My advice to agents just starting out in the business would be to link up with a mentor early on and learn from them and their years of experience. It is so important to have the right guidance starting out to help give you the tools you will need to be successful in this business.
